FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a passport?

Yes. A valid passport is required for all international trips. Please ensure it’s valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. We recommend checking this well in advance to avoid issues.

Is travel insurance required?

While not required for all trips, it’s strongly recommended. Travel insurance protects your investment if plans change due to illness, delays, or emergencies. We suggest looking for a “Cancel for Any Reason” policy. Learn more and explore providers Travel Guard | Allianz Travel Insurance.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

All deposits are non-refundable. Most cancellations must be made at least 180 days before the trip to be eligible for a partial refund (excluding the deposit). After that, all payments are final. See your trip’s Payment Terms section for exact details.

What happens if Out & Abroad cancels the trip?

In the rare event that a trip is canceled—such as not reaching the minimum number of travelers—you will receive a full refund of all payments made. However, Out & Abroad is not responsible for any airline penalties or personal travel arrangements. We recommend waiting until the trip is confirmed before booking flights.

Can I come solo?

Absolutely. In fact, most of our travelers come solo—and our trips are built with that in mind. We offer solo rooms by default, and the itinerary balances community with space to explore independently.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! While our trips are primarily designed for solo travelers, you’re welcome to bring a friend. If you’d like to attend together, email us at hello@outandabroad.co so we can confirm availability and provide any applicable duo pricing.

Are you a travel agency?

No—we’re not a traditional agency. Out & Abroad is a boutique travel host that curates immersive, small group experiences. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the adventure, the people, and the pace that feels right for you.

How can I reach someone with questions or concerns?

You can always email us at hello@outandabroad.co, or register for a Discovery Call to ask questions and get a feel for the vibe before booking.
